Roku partnered with Major League Baseball to broadcast games on The Roku Sports Channel.
The objective was to market each game with creative that would energize existing fans while drawing in a new generation of fans through anime and manga aesthetics.
My Role: Developed the visual system and strategic approach, ensuring consistency and impact across platforms.
Project Time: 3 weeks.
Initial Designs
In the initial design phase, I focused on translating the bold visual language of anime and manga while staying aligned with MLB’s creative brief. I explored the use of speed lines and electric effects to capture a sense of motion, intensity, and energy that echoed both the excitement of live sports and the dynamic aesthetic the brief called for.

Final Design
Ultimately, the final designs reflect both the creative direction and visual style I set out to achieve. I’m pleased that the final outcome successfully captured the anime-inspired energy while resonating with MLB’s vision as well.
Reflection
High asset volume and sporadic feedback were slowing production, as updates had to be made individually in PSD files. I created a Figma system to streamline asset management, reduce errors, and speed up the workflow. This allowed the agency to deliver the assets faster and minimize the feedback loop.
